The traditional brand Maison Valentino paraded its spring-summer collection this Sunday in the French capital.
The collection is the responsibility of Italian design Pierpaolo Piccioli, who translated the language of haute couture into ready-to-wear in pieces covered in prints, cross sections, layers and tailoring in different proportions.
Unlike other collections, Piccioli bet on monochromatic, black, white and minimalism, with some points of shine in the red, green, blue and yellow looks. The design presented its haute couture in shirts, blazers, sets and overcoats, sometimes decorated with feathers on the sleeves or hems.
For this collection the look was perfect. For the essential, remembering that “empty spaces do not lack the depth of identity. become one”.
The “Unboxing” show presented “Purity as a conscious synthesis, intentional removal of what exceeds. It is subtraction, not absence”, describes the brand.
