A FASHION professional has shared what she thinks are some of the worst and tacky designer shoes trending today.
According to one fashion lover, tacky fashion trends have taken over the industry and she shared in a TikTok video some of her least favorite designer shoe styles that are popular with many.
Fashion reviewer Ana Reyes lays out which five popular shoe styles from prominent designer brands should be put to rest.
She makes her thoughts loud and clear in a 40-second video that delves into the reasons why these styles would be labeled as cheap if they were not technically expensive.
Ana starts with a style shoe that she believes was cute without the designer branding.
She’s referring to Louis Vuitton’s $955 Bom Dia Flat Mule.
According to Ana, these Birkenstock-style shoes are a “walking commercial” and “lazy sandals” with far too many logos on them.
Ana can’t stand seeing bolded brand names on items because the next shoe has the same issue.
She says the Christian Dior $730 Dway Slides scream: “I’m wearing designer look at me.”
To emphasize why she doesn’t like seeing so much branding, Ana explains: “Brand names don’t always mean best.”
She thinks the $560 Fendi Slide Sandals look like prison shoes.
The only difference between these slides: they have the Fendi logo all over.
She describes them as “flashy” and “not elegant.”
Moving on to a pair of Gucci heels, Ana thinks the only reason the $850 Leather mid-heel Sandal is so expensive is the logo on the top.
Otherwise, she believes them to cost around $39 without it.
And the same applies to the final shoe she dislikes.
Priced at $1,295, the Dolce and Gabbana Sorrento Sneakers with fusible crystals flash a pink light all over the brand name.
Ana says: “If it didn’t have the brand name people wouldn’t think they are cute.”
She believes the excessive rhinestone detailing makes the shoes look very tacky.
Viewers had their own opinions, some of which were in agreement with Ana, and some were not.
“I agree with everything else’s EXCEPT the Dior sandals, with the right sundress they would be really cute,” one viewer wrote.
Another viewer didn’t feel the same way: “The girls who get it, get it. And the girls who don’t, say it’s flashy.”
