Sebastian Stan Has A Boy Next Door Look, Hollywood Aesthetic

Sebastian Stan, a Romanian-American actor, became well-known for playing Carter Baizen in the television series Gossip Girl. Additionally, given that the popular television program’s main theme is fashion (cameos from Tim Gunn, Rachel Zoe, Tyra Banks, Karlie Kloss, and Alexa Chung), one would anticipate that Stan would have picked up some fashion advice from the show’s costume designer, Eric Daman. Since then, he has been on the red carpet a number of times, leaving us envious and practically pining for our own stroll down the crimson carpet.

We at GQ are obsessed with knitwear. We’re all for a nice knit, whether it’s fine-knit merino wool cardigans from Brunello Cucinelli that are perfect for the summer or hefty Ross Geller-worthy sweater vests from Gucci. Sebastian Stan is also. He likes striking knitwear, favoring styles from Givenchy and other designers. In addition, he has mastered how to do it correctly: minimize everything else and let your top half soar.

Pick up a casual shirt

One of the most versatile items of apparel you can buy is the simple shirt. One can be worn properly around the waist, as the late grunge icon Kurt Cobain did, over a thin wool sweater, or, as Stan does, casually tossed on in a hurry over a T-shirt. The Avengers star suddenly smartened up a plain pair of jeans and T-shirt ensemble by adding a Leonardo DiCaprio-worthy short-sleeved shirt to his otherwise (sorry Stan) quite uninspired ensemble. Additionally, the subdued pattern elevates this to conversation-starter status without going too far into the gaudy territory of the aforementioned DiCaprio’s Romeo & Juliet clothing.

Dress appropriately for the job you want.

Stan’s all-black attire at the 2018 Avengers: Infinity War premiere made us think of Batman, a different character from a different genre. We think Stan would be a great option even though many other fantastic actors have already played the DC comic book action hero (and we are delighted that the moody Robert Pattinson will be honing his acting skills in the most recent Dark Knight adaptation). Then then, this is a costume that merits praise. From our perspective, going all-black is a great decision every time. The vital lesson to learn from this is that a tie is not required, and Stan looks more streamlined and unfussy as a result of doing away with one.
