HARRY Styles’ fans have been sent into a frenzy after accusing the singer of spitting on his Don’t Worry Darling co-star.
Appearing at the Venice Film Festival last night – the former One Director star sat next to Hollywood actor Chris Pine ahead of the screening, but fans are certain they saw something underhand.
Watching the premiere from home, viewers alleged that Harry, 28, who plays Jack in the new film Don’t Worry Darling, spat in the lap of his co-star Chris, 42.
Harry was seen sitting down in his assigned seat next to the Wonder Woman actor, before appearing to looking down at his legs and stick out his tongue towards Chris.
The actor was seen laughing back at the pop star, who adjusted in his seat awkwardly after sitting down next to him, as well as looking down at his lap.
Those close to Harry and Chris have insisted this is not true.
But some fans were convinced that Harry had spat in Chris’ lap at the event – and took to Twitter to beg to “know the truth”.
“Harry Styles appears to spit on Chris Pine? I won’t sleep until I know the truth,” one fan wrote alongside a video of the moment.
Another chimed in: “Me and my friends trying to figure out if Harry Styles spat at Chris Pine.”
“Whether or not Harry spit on Chris is going to be the great mystery of our time,” a third joked.
While a fourth chimed in: “The ‘I did not spit on that man’ notes apology Harry will soon be forced to tweet is already shaping up.”

It comes as Harry Styles’ girlfriend Olivia Wilde dodged questions about her Florence Pugh “feud” before appearing on the red carpet alongside Harry and his co-star actress.
Director Olivia, 38, fuelled rumours of a feud with her British star Florence, 26, yesterday at the press conference for their new movie.
The moviemaker grimaced at the mention of Florence’s name and dodged questions about their alleged row.
Olivia’s boyfriend Harry and his co-stars Gemma Chan, 39, and Chris remained straight faced during the toe-curling press conference for their film Don’t Worry Darling.
Olivia said of Florence: “She’s amazing in the film and as for all the endless gossip and all the noise out there, the internet feeds itself.
“I don’t feel the need to contribute. I think it’s sufficiently well nourished.”
Leading actress Florence, 26, further added to rumours of a rift when she skipped the scheduled group interview at the Venice Film Festival yesterday.
Insiders insisted her filming schedule meant Florence could only attend the premiere later in the evening – but she arrived just minutes before it was due to start.
The pair are said to have fallen out after a bust up over actor Shia LaBeouf, 36 — fuelled by texts he leaked which appeared to show US director Olivia being disparaging towards Florence.
When asked about their falling out yesterday, Olivia grimaced and replied: “Florence is a force and we are so grateful that she is able to make it tonight.”
Last night, Florence did her turn on the red carpet — with her grandmother as her date — but appeared to avoid Olivia and Harry.
