Recently, the Internet went into a frenzy as latest reports revealed the couple’s wedding venue, a tentative date and other details.
Athiya Shetty & KL Rahul to tie the knot in Khandala
According to a recent report of Pinkvilla, Athiya and Rahul have picked Suniel Shetty’s luxurious bungalow ‘Jahaan’ in Khandala as their wedding venue. The house is very dear to the starkid and she is often seen visiting the place. It stands amidst plush greenery and the interior is decorated with beautiful plants.
The entertainment portal also claimed that a famous wedding organiser has visited Khandala to do recee for the wedding. The date will be determined keeping in mind Rahul’s work schedule. It will be a star-studded event, and all the big names from both the film and sports industry will be in attendance. However, there has been no official confirmation from either party.
When Athiya Shetty squashed rumours of her wedding
Athiya and Rahul had made their relationship official in 2019 with a social media post. A few months ago, there were rumours that the couple were getting married within three months. But Athiya was quick to shut down all these claims with a witty statement.
Taking to Instagram Stories, she wrote, “I hope I’m invited to this wedding that’s taking place in three months. Lol.”
When Suniel Shetty opened up about Athiya & Rahul’s wedding plans
In a previous interview with Instant Bollywood, when asked about the couple’s wedding plans, Suniel opened up that it’ll happen whenever Athiya and Rahul decide.
“I think jaise hi bachhe decide karenge. Rahul ke schedules hai. Abhi Asia Cup hai, World Cup hai, South African tour hai, Australia tour hai. Jab bachho ko break milega tab shaadi hogi. Ek din me shaadi nahi ho sakti na? (The wedding will take place as soon as the kids decide. Rahul is busy with the Asia Cup, World Cup, South African tour, Australia tour. It will take place only when the kids get a break. A wedding can’t happen in only a day, isn’t it?),” he said.
